10F Joins IFTF in Conversation
Inside the making of ten forecasts — live at IFTF July 30
It started with a spontaneous Sunday morning WhatsApp message. That message—and many months of discussion and collaboration that followed—resulted in twenty-plus practitioners from a dozen countries in a room in Singapore, developing ten forecasts on the transformation of the global landscape, seeding the AREAS framework, and much more.
On July 30 (9:00 am PT), IFTF’s Jake Dunagan leads a conversation with members of the consortium—including Scott Smith, Managing Partner at Changeist; Vaughn Tan, author of The Uncertainty Mindset; and Bernise Ang, Chief Alchemist at Zeroth Labs, about how that actually happened — the methodological and organizational choices behind a self-organized, independent foresight initiative. Expect to hear about AREAS, the editorial effort of synthesizing across disciplines and geographies, and an honest look at what open-source intelligence looks like when the futurists make the rules.
If you design multi-stakeholder foresight processes, or structure forecasts for audiences that don’t share a common frame, this is the inside view.
Have a Chat with Us
Scott and Susan Cox-Smith recently joined the Siemens Xcelerator Community to talk through the forecasts, the work behind them, and how to apply the thinking in your own context. Watch the video here — click past the login prompt to view in full.
Want 10F in front of your network or organization? Get in touch. We do live talks, webinars, and podcasts—public or internal—and we’re happy to share what we’ve learned and where we think it applies. Our network covers most timezones, so we probably have someone near you!
Meanwhile, on One to One
The latest episode of our practitioner-led conversation series pairs Lina Srivastava and Igor Schwarzmann. For this discussion, community power meets platform infrastructure, and the overlap is bigger than you’d guess. Listen here or find 10F One to One on your favorite podcast platform, including Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
Another episode is scheduled soon, with two more practitioners from the network taking their turns in both chairs. Watch this feed.
